This week's SOTW is from the fantastic Blossoms and is
titled 'Cut Me And I'll Bleed'. Apart from Jason Manford, Tes Daly and David
Dickinson The Blossoms are definitely the best thing to come out of Stockport
for quite a long time.
After starting out in 2013 the northern boys are growing in
popularity faster than I've heard any other band do that isn't related to
someone famous or without doing a Cortana advert. Having played over 100 gigs
last year it's clear that their popularity is due to their hard work and
determination and with the class of music that they are producing, they deserve
nothing less.
'Cut Me And I'll Bleed' isn't a song from just another
Manchester Oasis wannabe. The track is a mixture of floaty smooth guitar riffs
with subtle synth, slight similarities of Peace, and Miles Kane-esque vocals
creating this fantastic mixture of sound that works perfectly together,
subsequently creating Blossoms.
